Tony is a British virologist monitoring what he thinks is a local outbreak in the Philippines. He wasn't expecting to find himself at the beginning of a global pandemic that will leave him stranded a long way from home. Now he's trying to gather information the world can use to protect itself. He has a solid understanding of immunity to a virus, but he's about to learn that immunity can be as behavioural as cellular. As his worldview warps to protect him, Tony has to fight to be the man he believes himself to be.
