This long poem in seventeen parts is both an homage to Prince's song "17 Days" (the B-side to "When Doves Cry") and a confessional piece chronicling the struggles of "the post-suicidal woman."
17 DAYS is a sequel (or perhaps a B-side) to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, and follows on its heels as the author looks to Prince and his music to find a sense of clarity in her own life.
