One day Auntie Trui tells us that she is going on a journey. She, therefore, asks if Rikkie wants to take care of her cat Jip. Auntie has already agreed with butcher Hesp that Rikkie will feed the cat every day after school. "Good luck," Rikkie thinks. But of course, he goes to the butcher the next day.

Gertie Jaquet has been working as a writer and illustrator for over thirty years. Since 2011, Jaquet has also been an avid stamper. The combination of illustrating and stamping can be seen in, among other things, the books of Haas that she makes together with Annemarie Bon.
