Midnight Rainbow

While Midnight Rainbow is a work of fiction, many of the characters, places and events are based on those from the author’s own childhood. Set in 1960s Alabama, the story unfolds through the innocent eyes of a young girl surrounded by memorable people—both good and not-so-good—yet so quirky and colorful you will want to crawl into the pages and live among them. Their stories will tug at your heart, bringing both laughter and tears, and will hopefully create a yearning for each of us to rekindle precious childhood memories that are “further than yonder, but closer than you’d think.”
